DORNIER DONATUS WHITE SECURES TOP 10 POSITION

Dornier’s Donatus range of wines embody Dornier’s devoted pursuits towards producing premium quality wines. The range consists of two wines, a Bordeaux style red blend and a Cape White blend, both of which saw their maiden releases in 2002. The vines and respective wines have evolved substantially since their inception. Following in the footsteps of Donatus Red, the 2018 vintage of Dornier Donatus White now too has been acknowledged with Top 10 status in its category as recently voted in the Prescient Cape White Blend Report of 2022.

Donatus White is a unique blend of Chenin Blanc (81%) and Semillon (19%) which brings forth the opulence and complexity of Chenin Blanc with the freshness and rich mouth feel of Semillon. The wine spends 11 months aging on the lees in barrel during which time regular battonage is practised. Being a full flavoured, wooded wine, seafood dishes with richness and weight are complementary to the wine. The wine also pairs well with Thai curries and roasted aubergine dishes.

Dornier Donatus White 2018 was produced in limited quantity of only 2700 bottles and is available to taste and purchase at The Wine Lounge at Dornier.
