Leda and the Swan Michaelangelo

Art is our point of departure. It is our approach to innovate. We create wines that are contemporary, appealing to the wine lover of today and showing a clear identity of our region and those who made the wines. Leda and the swan has been one of the recurring mythological themes in art since the ancient Greeks. The story of passion and seduction is a reflection of the two natures of mankind, the metamorphosis from human to beast. The seduction of Leda by Zeus in disguised as a Swan is symbolised by the head with the two beaks on the Dornier logo.

Leda And The Swan

A sudden blow: the great wings beating still
Above the staggering girl, her thighs caressed
By the dark webs, her nape caught in his bill,
He holds her helpless breast upon his breast.

How can those terrified vague fingers pushThe feathered glory from her loosening thighs? And how can body, laid in that white rush,But feel the strange heart beating where it lies?A shudder in the loins engenders thereThe broken wall, the burning roof and tower And Agamemnon dead.Being so caught up,So mastered by the brute blood of the air,Did she put on his knowledge with his powerBefore the indifferent beak could let her drop?
